25-Year Workmanship Warranty Extension
Clean Solar extends the Customer’s original 15-year Workmanship Warranty to a total term of twenty-five (25) years.
The extended term begins retroactively on the exact date the photovoltaic (PV) system passed final inspection by the local permitting authority.
For the duration of this extended term, Clean Solar continues to guarantee that the PV system originally installed by Clean Solar will be free from defects in installation workmanship, subject to the terms and exclusions of the Warranty Extension & Care+ Agreement.
10 Additional Years of Workmanship Protection
For customers who originally received Clean Solar’s 15-year workmanship warranty, Care+ provides an additional 10 years of workmanship protection, extending total coverage to 25 years from the system’s final inspection date.
PV Module Labor Extension
The solar modules used in the original installation remain covered by the applicable manufacturer’s limited hardware and/or performance warranty.
Under the Clean Solar Warranty Extension & Care+ Agreement, Clean Solar extends its installation workmanship coverage to match the exact duration of the manufacturer’s original hardware or performance warranty.
If a solar module is determined to be defective and the warranty claim is approved by the module manufacturer, Clean Solar will cover 100% of the labor costs associated with removing and replacing the defective module.
This additional protection helps address an important potential gap in manufacturer warranty coverage: the labor required to remove and replace covered equipment.
The solar module hardware itself remains covered solely under the applicable manufacturer’s warranty and is subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms, conditions, exclusions, and approval process.
Premium Inverter Labor Coverage
Your inverter is one of the most important components of your solar energy system. While inverter hardware components remain covered solely by the manufacturer’s applicable limited warranty, Care+ provides additional protection against the service costs associated with a qualifying inverter failure.
For the duration of the extended term, Clean Solar will cover 100% of the diagnostic labor, truck roll fees, and shipping coordination costs required to service or replace a manufacturer-approved defective inverter.

Inverter hardware remains covered solely by the applicable manufacturer’s limited warranty and is subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms, conditions, exclusions, and approval process.

Every Care+ Agreement begins with a complimentary 50-Point Solar Health Check and Critter Assessment.
Before the extended warranty becomes active, Clean Solar will perform a comprehensive diagnostic inspection of the solar energy system.
This inspection helps us evaluate the current condition of your system, identify existing problems, and establish a clear starting point for your extended Care+ coverage.
What We Check
The 50-Point Solar Health Check includes an evaluation of system performance and accessible system components. Depending on the system configuration, the inspection may include solar modules, inverter operation, electrical connections, mounting and attachment points, accessible wiring, system errors, and other visible conditions that could affect system performance or operation.
Critter Intrusion Assessment
The diagnostic inspection includes a visual assessment of the solar array to identify active or potential wildlife nesting, animal intrusion, or pest vulnerabilities.
Our team will look for signs of:
- Active or potential wildlife nesting
- Animal intrusion
- Pest activity
- Visible animal-related damage
- Areas that may be vulnerable to future wildlife or pest intrusion
Identifying these conditions early can help identify vulnerabilities before your extended Care+ coverage begins.
Pre-Existing Conditions
Care+ is designed to provide protection going forward. It does not provide retroactive coverage for problems that existed before the Warranty Extension & Care+ Agreement was activated.
If the 50-Point Solar Health Check reveals active animal damage, pre-existing component faults, system errors, or other conditions requiring correction, activation of the warranty extension will remain paused.
Clean Solar will provide the Customer with an itemized repair estimate identifying the work necessary to correct the pre-existing conditions.
If the Customer elects to complete the necessary repairs, Care+ coverage may be activated after the required repairs are completed and the system satisfies the Care+ activation requirements.
Right of Cancellation & 100% Refund
If pre-existing issues are discovered during the inspection and the Customer chooses not to proceed with the necessary repairs, the Warranty Extension & Care+ Agreement will be canceled.
Clean Solar will issue the Customer a full 100% refund of the Care+ purchase price within thirty (30) days.
The complimentary 50-Point Solar Health Check and Critter Assessment is included as part of the Care+ activation process.
No Surprises Before Your Coverage Begins
The inspection process gives both you and Clean Solar a clear understanding of your solar system’s condition before extended coverage begins.
If your system qualifies, your extended protection moves forward. If we discover an existing problem, we’ll show you what needs attention and provide an itemized repair estimate. If you decide not to proceed, your Care+ purchase price is fully refunded.
Unlimited Transferability
Your Clean Solar Warranty Extension & Care+ Agreement isn’t limited to the original homeowner.
The Agreement is transferable to future owners of the property, subject to the terms of the Agreement.
There is no limit to the number of qualifying ownership transfers during the active coverage period.
That means Care+ protection can remain with the solar system even if the home changes hands, providing an additional long-term benefit to the homeowner.
What’s Not Covered by Care+
Care+ provides substantial additional protection for your solar investment, but it does not replace or expand every warranty associated with your original solar installation.
The following exclusions apply to the Clean Solar Warranty Extension & Care+ Agreement:
Roof Penetration Warranty
Care+ does not extend, modify, or expand the original Roof Penetration Warranty provided with the Customer’s original installation.
All roof leakage coverage, terms, durations, limitations, and conditions contained in the Customer’s original contract remain unchanged.
The original Roof Penetration Warranty will expire according to the timeline established in the original contract.
Critter & Animal Damage
The Care+ Agreement does not cover damage caused by animals or wildlife, including birds, rodents, squirrels, or other animals.
Excluded animal-related damage includes, but is not limited to:
- Physical damage to solar equipment
- Damaged or chewed wiring
- Electrical failures caused by animal activity
- Component degradation
- Damage caused by nesting
- System or component performance reductions caused by animals
Clean Solar assumes no responsibility or liability under Care+ for the cost of hardware replacement, repairs, or repair labor resulting from animal or wildlife activity.
The complimentary Critter Intrusion Assessment is intended to help identify existing or potential vulnerabilities before Care+ activation. The assessment itself does not create coverage for future animal or critter damage.
Manufacturer Warranty & Insolvency
Care+ labor coverage for replacement components—including PV modules and inverters—is dependent upon the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) approving the applicable warranty claim and providing the replacement hardware.
Clean Solar does not assume or replace the manufacturer’s product warranty or product liability.
If an equipment manufacturer:
- Goes out of business
- Files for bankruptcy
- Discontinues or fails to honor its warranty
- Refuses or is unable to provide warranty service
- Fails to provide replacement hardware
then Clean Solar’s Care+ labor obligations for that specific component are void.
Care+ does not require Clean Solar to purchase replacement equipment or otherwise assume the warranty responsibilities of a manufacturer that is unable or unwilling to fulfill its warranty obligations.
Original Contract Exclusions Remain in Effect
Unless specifically modified by the Clean Solar Warranty Extension & Care+ Agreement, all standard exclusions contained in the Customer’s original contract remain fully active and enforceable.
These include, but are not limited to, damage or system failures resulting from:
- Natural disasters and other Acts of God
- Civil unrest
- Theft
- Vandalism
- Unauthorized modifications
- Repairs, alterations, or other work performed by unauthorized third-party contractors
Care+ extends specific Clean Solar workmanship and labor protections. It does not replace the terms, conditions, limitations, or exclusions of the Customer’s original contract except where this Agreement specifically states otherwise.
Care+ Payment Terms
Customers may choose to activate the Clean Solar Warranty Extension & Care+ Agreement under the following payment schedule:
$599 Upfront Activation Fee
A one-time flat fee of $599.00 is due at enrollment.
$30 Per Month
Following activation, the Customer will pay a recurring Care+ fee of $30.00 per month, automatically billed to the Customer’s credit card or bank account on file.
Your 50-Point Solar Health Check Is Included
The complimentary 50-Point Solar Health Check and Critter Assessment is included as part of the Care+ activation process at no additional charge.
